toes in the water..

well, i've been at Hilton Head Island for 5 days now...loving it. :) A lot of relaxing, swimming, and beach goin' is all that's really going down-and that's okay.

Tomorrow is my birthday! :)

Mom?

Packing: shoving your life into one bag. At least for me that's what it feels like-and i'm just going on vacation! (only for 10 days i might add!) BUT i'll only be home for a day before i have to head back to AU for camp team training! So, I have to "begin packing" my stuff for the two monthsthat i'll be away. This summer will be over before i even realize it! My puppy doesn't like to watch me pack-he knows i'm leaving him. As for my kitty-pfft. She could care less. She got mad at me today because she got out-and I had to chase her down (only took 5 minutes this time-i'm getting better at catching her!) and bring her in. I've been watching Malcolm in the Middle all day :) It makes me miss my darling Dewey. (I hope Nao is taking good care of him!) I miss all of my Mom's. This distance thing is killing me!

I loved our Ricker's run and walk we went on the last week of school. I miss our similar personalities. I miss your "nugg voice" I miss your nuggin face! :) I can't wait to see you in June!! You are missed Francesca! Wub wu wu :)

Naomi- You are my favorite person from my hall, and i'm going to miss having you two doors down. You took care of me a countless number of times; from fixing my hair, rubbing my back when I don't feel well, making me food, cleaning my room, listened to me as i cried (you turned me into a crier), you were just there to be an awesome mom/friend. I love you and miss you a ton.

Krissy- I don't really remember our first encounter. I just know that you're one of the truest friends I have! You are very honest, and funny. You are always naked (but that's okay ;) Thanks for all of the wonderful memories such as: Tennis (watching Special Olympics practice), sitting out behind rice, playing volleyball, Night of thrills!, and all of the other random encounters we have had. :) You da bestt, can't wait to be an RA with you next year! Yeauhh. :)

Leslie, you are one beautiful person. Meeting you in February of 2009 was probably the highlight of my ENTIRE LIFE ;) You have been there since day one to laugh with (cry with), get irritated at people, be silly, and "do homework." It's going to be so weird not being able to have you pick me up for class. :( I love you shnuggs and you should probably wear that shirt soon :)

the past couple of days have been pretty uneventful. I've spent a lot of time with Em, and listened to a lot of J-Bieber. Is that weird? haha. My blogs are getting worse and worse. I'm going to the beach in less than a week!! :) I'm also turning 19 in 11 days :) So i've had a little bit of time to think of some things i'd like for my birthday ;)

Summer has officially arrived

Well,

the one true way to know that summer has arrived is (let me give you a scenario):

I wake up on a beautiful summer morning just anticipating a wonderful day outside with friends and do nothing but drink strawberry lemonade and talk about the year we've missed together. I walk downstairs to get a quick bite to eat before i start my day and as i'm walking down the stair-there it is. "The list." That infamous list that ruins teenagers summers all over the country. As i'm walking up to it, it seems short. So i sigh in relief. As i pick it up i remembered that Mother is a small writer and there goes my beautiful day-down the tubes as I clean the house and do laundry. wonderful! When "the list" is on the counter i'd rather be anywhere than in that kitchen.

So basically the past few days have been spent making this house spotless. But on the bright side-vacation is a week away!! Then i'm off to work for two months-no more chores! (kinda) hahah.

The past few afternoons and nights have been full of best friends and cute puppies.

Yesterday i spent the day with Emilie and Casey (we watched Em unpack..fun!) Kelsie hung out with us a bit too. We played with the cutest animals in the whole world! (Nickie, Lillie, Millie, Cricket, and a bunny!) That night I spent with my dear friend Mag (Megan). We spent the evening watching Time Travelers Wife (good pick!), Listened to Justin Bieber, watched trashy youtube videos of Miley Cyrus, and laughed until we cried (the usual).

Addison comes home in 7 days! -which is when i leave for the beach :) :)

I have a beautiful cold sore (1st timer!) haha-not cool.

Today,

I've spent the day with mother aka doing scholarship crap. We went to lunch at Susie's Bakery (Yum!), we stopped by my dad's work and brought him lunch (he think's he's a gangster-and now I know why after meeting his co-workers! hhah funnyy!), Now i'm just lounging around-NOT DOING CHORES (mom's not home).

Is this home?

It's been four days now, I've unpacked and my room actually looks like a room-not a storage compartment. This past weekend i spent at my sister's soccer tournament, it was so stinkin cold!! The things you do for your siblings, eh? hahah. As i'm sitting here on my bed, i'm looking at all of the pictures i've hung up in the past day and it reminds me of all of the wonderful memories Anderson University has given me. I would not trade that year of stress, drama, tears, surprises, happiness, spontaneity, and laughter for the world. I have the greatest friends in the whole entire world. My blog isn't he prettiest-sorry, not everyone can be like Anderson's Fall girl ;) hahhahah. It's so weird to be able to watch tv, and surprisingly-i like nothing on it. At least not during the day. Nick @ Nite will always hold a special place in my heart.

I skyped Addy last night for a couple of hours, and let me say there was never a dull moment. :)

I woke up to all of the empty boxes i used to pack stacked outside of my door blockading me in. I guess my mother was serious when she said take care of them. Needless to say-i took care of them. (I was hungry). After taking care of all of that business...I had a lunch date with Momma today:) It was wonderful, as always. We did our usual "boy talk" but these days i have that one special boy to talk about :) Addison left for Costa Rica today-12 days of no communication. What a challenge, eh? Hopefully he doesn't come back as red as a lobster ;) hahah. The day he comes back, i'm heading to the beach! :) Cannnnn't waiiit! :) :)

oh my! how could i forget. Yesterday as i sat down at my desk in my room i found this letter.

over the past four days, Addison has been ALL Kendall has talked about. I think i have competition? haha. and i have no idea why she signed her last name? haha Goober :)

After my dad got off of work today, he walked into my room rather confused. He handed me this package addressed to him and it was Stayfree ultra thin pads! hahahahahaha. High light of my day. No competition!

emotional disaster?

My friends are the most attractive people in this whole entire universe. :)

It's been two days since i've left my home of Anderson University. My life feels so incomplete without it. So many wonderful events in my life have taken place there. Let's do a recap on a few of my favorites.

1. Walking to tara apartments late at night with my roommate (finding cats)

2. The many many times i've walked to deluxe with a plethora of amazing people.

3. The wonderful Rickers runs. :)

4. The crazy adventure that Kirsten, Megan, and I went on to deluxe, rickers, and taco bell only to find the lobby was closed. Going through the drive through on the back of a strangers truck, and getting a ride back to campus (shady-we know!)

5. Football and basketball games!

6. skipping class to watch hsm!

7. chatroulette!

8. baby animals!

9. girls weekends.

10. All of my moms!

11. late night walks. :)

12. strawberry banana kiwi juice in the mp!

13. those late nights, and early mornings.

14. Playing outside instead of doing homework.

15. "working out" or going to the track and watching the football boys workout ;)

I can't believe that my freshman year is already over! I didn't realize i could become so attached to a group of amazing people in so little time. I feel so extremely lost without every last one of them. I need my Mom's. :(

Freshman year, where did you go?

It feels like just yesterday that i was moving into this place I call home in Rice Hall 1E. I feel as if i've known these girls my entire life, not just 8 months. Sikeston just doesn't have any appeal any more, my family is here. My summer is going to be crazy busy though, so i'll be back with my second family in no time. :)
